Plantation

William H. Flint (Bill), a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023 in Plantation, FL. He was born on June 13, 1940 in Boston, MA to Cecilia and Harold Flint. Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure that will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched. Bill worked as an electrician for FP&L. He had a passion for boating and made a tremendous impact in uniting the Fort Lauderdale marine industry. He took great pride in providing quality service and always went the extra mile.

Outside of work, Bill led a life full of joy and passion. He enjoyed every moment to the fullest and believed in cherishing time spent with family above all else. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he loved nothing more than showering them with love and creating lifelong memories together. From thrilling adventures at arcades and amusement parks to exciting boat rides on sunny days, Bill had a knack for finding endless fun activities that brought smiles to their faces.

One of Bill's favorite weekend pastimes was exploring the Swap Shop flea market. Beyond his love for bargains at the flea market, Bill had an undeniable fondness for animals. He was known for his compassionate nature towards all creatures big and small. Bill's educational journey began at Fort Lauderdale High School before he furthered his studies at Florida State University.

Characterized by his exceedingly generous nature, Bill continually sought opportunities to help those in need. Whether it was giving someone a helping hand or offering support during challenging times, he epitomized selflessness. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. Additionally, Bill possessed a remarkable sense of humor and loved to embrace his mischievous side. Countless pranks and hilarious moments brought laughter to those around him, creating an atmosphere of joy wherever he went.

Beyond his professional and personal endeavors, Bill held a profound passion for the boating industry. With his unwavering dedication, he played a significant role in uniting the marine industry in Fort Lauderdale, leaving an indelible mark on the community he held dear. However, it was in the simple pleasures that he found true happiness. Good food brought him immense joy, particularly savoring a mouthwatering CJ Blacks filet paired with a perfectly baked potato. Sharing moments with friends over coffee at Dunkin Donuts or indulging in Farm Store's butter pecan ice cream and chunky monkey ice cream filled his heart with contentment. Among his favorites were heath bars, providing a sweet treat that always brought a smile to his face.

In his final days, Bill found solace in knowing that he had accomplished something truly remarkable. Just months before bidding farewell to this earthly realm, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. This spiritual transformation brought him immense peace and comfort as he prepared for the next chapter of his journey.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughters Lisa Ramsey (Mark), Pam Gibson (Kevin), Lori Milmoe (Chris), son Billy Flint, grandchildren Morgan and Brennen Ramsey, Caleb and Logan Gibson, Colton and Brody Milmoe. His parents Cecilia and Harold Flint and sister Carol Callahan preceded him in death.

As we bid farewell to William H. Flint, let us celebrate the remarkable life he lived—full of love, generosity, laughter, and adventure. May his spirit forever guide us, reminding us to live life to the fullest and find joy in the simplest of pleasures.
