Memorial Service will be streamed live and can be viewed below the obituary.

Walenty Boleslaw Gorski, lovingly known as Val, passed away on Monday, June 10th, 2024, at the age of 77 at his home in Lauderhill, FL with his wife Lourdes of 32 years by his bedside. His family was blessed to spend his final few weeks surrounding him with love during his short battle with cancer.

Val was born May 18, 1947 in Rychnowo, Poland to parents Aniela and Boleslaw Gorski. He immigrated to Miami, Florida in the late 1970’s in pursuit of the American Dream. Creating his own business in the garment industry and successfully inventing and manufacturing attachments for sewing machines for more than 40 years was a prominent achievement of his professional life. In his spare time, he was a self-taught computer mechanic and had an affection for old western films and tv shows. He enjoyed fitness and discovering the benefits of juicing and natural foods.

Strong, hardworking, and traditional, Val was a disciplined man who embodied respect and gentlemanly manners. As a gentleman, he took pride in his appearance as a form of respect for himself and others. His sense of humor was as sharp as his sense of style. Val was also known by his friends and loved ones as someone who enjoyed dinner, drinks, dancing, and creating cherished memories and laughter. However, his true joy came from his beloved wife, Lourdes, and daughter, Monica. He adored them both and treasured every moment spent together as a family. He believed in the success and happiness of those he loved, especially his daughter. Val's pride shone brightest in his daughter Monica. He instilled in her his values of hard work and honesty as he guided her on a path of success and happiness. He was also a doting grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Kaya.

Walenty Boleslaw Gorski is survived by his wife, Lourdes; daughter, Monica; granddaughter, Kaya; son-in-law Michael; sister, Regina; brother-in-law Henry; nephews Zibigniew and Piotr; nieces, Bania, Ania and Magda. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, family, strength, perseverance and the pursuit of dreams. May he rest in eternal peace.
