Therese M. Haagensen (nee Meuchner)

Therese M. Haagensen (Meuchner), 67, of Plantation, FL died suddenly July 18, 2020. She is remembered as a loving and giving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was the beloved wife of John Gunnar and mother of Leif, John (Jeannie), Stefan and Liam.  She was the doting grandmother to Ashton and Amber. Therese had a big heart and it was reflected in the life she led. She always put others first. And her chosen career as a nurse had her caring for and helping others. She left Brooklyn more than 40 years ago after graduating from Kings County Hospital Center School of Nursing to come to south Florida, but her spirit never left New York.  In addition to her husband and sons, Therese is survived by her brothers:  John Meuchner (Michele), Dermot Meuchner (Susan), Kevin Meuchner (Mona), Christopher Meuchner (Leonore) and Gerard Meuchner (Catherine).  She also leaves behind family and friends in Norway, including her brother-in-law Oivind Haagensen (Liv).
