Just shy of her 63rd birthday, Teresa Ann Vest passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Teresa lived a life rooted in faith, family, and unwavering kindness.

Born on July 27, 1962, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Bruno and Antoinette Stanislawski, Teresa was the middle child of seven. From a young age, she helped her mother care for her younger siblings, quickly learning the meaning of charity and selflessness.

She was raised in the Catholic faith, attending St. Gregor
y’s Catholic School and Parish from 1967 to 1976 in Plantation, Florida. During her sophomore year at Plantation High School, Teresa met the love of her life, Brent Vest. At just 15 and 16, the two began a journey that would span decades—built on deep love, loyalty, and shared dreams. Together, they raised three children: Ashley Vest, Tyler Vest, and Nicolletta Vest Cruz. Teresa’s love for her children was constant and unconditional. She took joy in their growth, stood beside them through every challenge, and never stopped believing in them. Her grandchildren—Alora, Dominic, Jackson, Abigail, and John Tyler (JT)—were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Teresa was known for her warmth, her thoughtfulness, and her incredible cooking—especially her famous meatballs, which became a beloved tradition at family gatherings. She had a gift for making people feel remembered and cared for, often sending handwritten birthday and anniversary cards to her nieces, nephews, siblings, and friends. As one of seven children, Teresa deeply loved her siblings—Michael, Matthew, Lawrence, Stephen, Marianne, and Elizabeth. That closeness carried through into adulthood, and she never missed a milestone or moment to show how much she cared.

Professionally, Teresa held several management positions in early childhood education and retail, where her patience and compassion left a lasting impact. After retiring in 2018, she embraced one of her favorite chapters: traveling with Brent across the country and abroad, enjoying the world side by side.

A woman of strong Catholic faith, Teresa lived with quiet grace—always putting others first and holding family at the center of her heart. Her marriage was a beautiful example of lifelong devotion, and her legacy is one of enduring love, generosity, and steadfast care.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Bruno Stanislawski, and her fathers-in-law: William Vest and William Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband, Brent; her children, Ashley, Tyler, and Nicolletta; her grandchildren; her siblings; and a large extended family who will miss her deeply and carry her memory forward with love.
