Tanzer Hasan Kalayci

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tanzer Hasan Kalayci, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life peacefully at the age of 85 on July, 7th 2025.

Born in Izmir, Turkey in 1940, Tanzer immigrated to the United States as a young man to pursue higher education at Marshall University and the University of West Virginia. With determination, integrity, and a tireless work ethic, he earned a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, laying the foundation for a lifelong career marked by innovation, leadership, and service.

Over the course of several decades, Tanzer built a successful career as a civil engineer and later became the President and Owner of Keith and Schnars, P. A., a respected firm known for its excellence and contribution to infrastructure projects throughout the region. He was deeply admired by colleagues and clients alike for his vision, honesty, and commitment to quality.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tanzer was, above all, a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda; his children Errol&Sondra and Tim&Sandra; and his cherished five grandchildren, Ricki, Ryan, Rose, Luke, and Anna, who were his pride and joy. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating, especially during his time living in Key Largo, Florida. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the structures he helped build, and the family he so deeply loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at T. M Ralph Funeral Homes in Sawgrass. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Christmas in July, Inc.
