Eulogy Tributes View Eulogy Tributes Funeral Service On Monday, July 27, 2020, Steven A. Chang passed away at the age of 61. Private family services will be held. You will be able to attend the service by returning to this page as the services are announced. Due to CO VID 19, The State of Florida and Broward County have Emergency Orders in place which limit the number of people who can gather. We thank you for your love and understanding, as this only makes this time more difficult. Steven was born in Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago to John and Mildred Chang. As the youngest of eight siblings, Steven was the “salt fish in a fry bake”! He was the center of attention and everyone’s favorite. After finding success as the co-founder of Wok’s Barbecue Kitchen, he eventually moved to South Florida, New Jersey, and then back to South Florida. He always dreamed of one day returning home to Trinidad. Steven was a remarkably simple and humble man who bubbled with energy, excitement, and a profound love for people. He was a people’s person and freely mixed with all regardless of status or creed. His love for everything TNT, especially music and cuisine, was boundless. Food was his specialty. At a moment’s notice, he would muster up a multi-course meal that even Iron Chef couldn’t compete with. Whether in the kitchen or on the dance floor, Steven’s magnetic personality made him the life and soul of every party or small lime, which to him was a minimum of 75 people! He was passionate about his church and often traveled from Tamarac to West Palm Beach to attend St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church. His service to the church and community were driving factors of his life as he freely gave his time, resources, materials and cash to ensure the success of many fundraisers and events that promoted the upliftment of those around him. Steven is survived by his wife Maggie and daughter Anushka. Please share a memory by recording a video message for the family by clicking here and using this link During these uncertain times and in compliance with CDC guidelines, our community has restrictions related to funeral services and community gatherings. You are able to leave an online condolence for the family at tmralph.com if you are unable to attend, or may call the funeral home to add your name to the funeral register book for the family. Grief is already complicated, and adding new restrictions just complicates it more-we understand. Our funeral home thanks you for your patience and complying to make it a little easier for the family. Arrangements by T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home
