Sean Damian McGuire, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 28, 2026, in Coral Springs, Florida. Born on August 14, 1961, in Jamaica, Sean’s life was defined by his devotion to his family, his lasting friendships, and an enduring commitment to his career.

Sean graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in business, a milestone that set the course for a distinguished three-decade career in finance management within the automotive industry. His professional journey included impactful years with Toyota North Miami, where he earned a reputation for his dedication and professionalism.

A man of diverse heritage, Sean was both Black and Chinese, embracing his backgrounds proudly and passing this rich legacy on to his children and grandchild. He was the devoted father of two sons, including Sean King, and found joy and fulfillment in his role as a grandfather.

Sean’s love for life was evident in his passions outside of work. He was known for his deep affinity for cars and spent countless weekends fishing with Hampten. As a steadfast supporter of the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Florida Marlins, he brought enthusiasm to every game, always cheering on his favorite teams with friends and loved ones.

Moments at home were treasured times for Sean, especially when gathered around the grill. He was a master griller who delighted in preparing meals for his family, with some of his fondest memories being those spent cooking and sharing meals with his son, Sean. His remarkable strength was matched only by the warmth he showed as a father, remembered by all who knew him as an amazing dad.

Sean’s life touched many—his strong hands, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty leaving a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was divorced but maintained close relationships, including with Anita King and his son, Sean King, who survive him.

During this time of loss, Sean’s family, friends, and all who loved and respected him mourn his passing and celebrate the many ways he shaped their lives. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchild, and the cherished memories he leaves behind.

His hands were strong, his heart was kind

A stead guide we left behind

He taught us well and helped us grow

and owe us love that stay aglow

Though he is gone, his light remains

To close to our hearts and breaks our chain
