It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Mother, Sara Francia Ortega. Please join us as we remember her.

A celebration of her life and faith will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Parish, 10900 West Oakland Park Blvd. Sunrise, FL 33351, followed by the burial at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. In lieu of flowers, online donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Mrs. Sara Francia Ortega, a woman of profound faith, unyielding strength, and boundless love for her family, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2026, at the age of 96.

Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on February 4th, 1930, Sara embodied the true spirit of courage and determination. Looking for a better life for her family, she made the brave journey to New York City, where she built a life rooted in hard work and resilience. She loved her adopted homeland deeply, always remaining grateful for the opportunities it provided while proudly honoring her Ecuadorian heritage.

At the center of Sara’s life was her unwavering faith in God. Her deep spirituality guided her through every trial and triumph, serving as a beacon of hope and strength for everyone who knew her. She was a strong-willed matriarch who faced life’s challenges with fierce grace, never wavering in her convictions or her dedication to those she loved.

Her greatest legacy is her family. Sara poured her heart into raising her children, teaching them the values of integrity, perseverance, and unconditional love. Her legacy continues to bloom through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry a piece of her resilient spirit.

She is predeceased by her son Genaro Mancero and is survived by her daughter, daughter-in-law and two sons: Ivonne Mosquera (whose husband Mykermer preceded her in death), Vilma Mancero, Milton Mancero and his wife Irene, Wladimir Ortega and his wife Sara. She is also survived by her cherished eight grandchildren and nine precious great-grandchildren.

Her strength will never be forgotten, and her love will live on in our hearts forever.

La Sra. Sara Francia Ortega, una mujer de profunda fe, fortaleza inquebrantable y amor ilimitado por su familia, falleció en paz el 8 de agosto de 2026, a la edad de 96 años.

Nacida en Guayaquil, Ecuador, el 4 de febrero de 1930, Sara encarnó el verdadero espíritu de valentía y determinación. En busca de una vida mejor para su familia, emprendió el valiente viaje a la ciudad de Nueva York, donde construyó una vida arraigada en el trabajo arduo y la resiliencia. Amó profundamente a su patria adoptiva, siempre agradecida por las oportunidades que le brindó y honrando con orgullo sus raíces ecuatorianas.

En el centro de la vida de Sara estaba su fe inquebrantable en Dios. Su profunda espiritualidad la guió a través de cada prueba y triunfo, sirviendo como un faro de esperanza y fortaleza para todos los que la conocieron. Fue una matriarca de carácter firme que enfrentó los desafíos de la vida con una gracia feroz, sin vacilar jamás en sus convicciones ni en su dedicación a quienes amaba.

Su mayor legado es su familia. Sara entregó su corazón a la crianza de sus hijos, enseñándoles los valores de la integridad, la perseverancia y el amor incondicional. Su legado continúa floreciendo a través de sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, todos los cuales llevan consigo una parte de su espíritu resiliente.

Le precedió en la muerte su hijo Genaro Mancero y le sobreviven su hija, su nuera y dos hijos: Ivonne Mosquera (cuyo esposo Mykermer falleció antes que ella), Vilma Mancero, Milton Mancero y su esposa Irene, Wladimir Ortega y su esposa Sara. También le sobreviven sus queridos ocho nietos y nueve preciosos bisnietos.

Su fortaleza jamás será olvidada, y su amor vivirá para siempre en nuestros corazones.
