Rosella Margaret Marie Wuerth Jamison

Rosella Jamison, 95, of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away peacefully at home with family at her bedside. Rosella, otherwise known as Rose, Rosie, Auntie Rose, or GG, lived a life filled with love, kindness, spunk & resilience.

Her Celebration of Life visitation in Florida will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317. 

In addition to the visitation, there will be a special gathering starting at 7:00 PM to honor her memory.

Rose spent 89 years of her life with family and friends in her hometown of Cincinnati, but moved to be with her only son in Florida in 2019 where she continued to thrive, make new friends, and spend time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Born Rosella, June 28, 1930 in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of Elmer G. Wuerth & Margaret C. Woycke. She was eldest sister to Peggy, Russell, Ronald, and Paulette, who all predeceased her. 

Rose married Dale Truman Jamison May 28, 1948. They enjoyed 61 years together until his passing in 2010. Dale's motto was "Do Your Givin' While You're Livin' which was a chant they both lived by. Dale was a skilled wood worker, able to produce beautiful pieces, but he built many a bird house with Rose by his side livening up his work with colorful paint. They went boating and fishing together and enjoyed time with relatives and friends. 

Her best friend, Eleanor, was also her sister-in-law (married to Dale's brother, Donald) both, who also predeceased her, but they spent much time together as couples enjoying one memorable trip to Hawaii. Crossword puzzles kept Rose & Eleanor on the telephone each evening at 7pm to finish the daily puzzle together.

Rose worked over 40 years at Stacey Manufacturing (Steel Manufacturers) She retired as an Administrative Assistant, rather than her former title of Secretary, having been a skilled Stenographer and managing other female employees. Rose loved children and spent many years as a mentor in the elementary school near her home. She was a second mother to many neighborhood children, who still consider her that way.

She was a wise-cracker and didn't mince words when she wanted to add her two cents. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, contorted faces, favorite finger, sticking out her tongue, her love for shrimp, mashed potatoes, or basically any food, her favorite color yellow, and her two most popular quotes, " Do you want me to smack him?" AND "That was a LOVE TAP!"  Of course, she never smacked anyone and no one was a stranger as she made friends with anyone whom she made contact. She gave fist bumps and blessings to everyone.

She loved being with family. She enjoyed traveling in the car to Ocoee or Tampa to spend time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had Donna's dog, Hyland, always beside her in the backseat of the car. Who's kidding who? Once Hyland met Rose, Donna was mostly out of the picture.  Hyland was Rose's constant companion and vice versa, at home, in bed, in Florida, Ohio, & on the road. They had an unbreakable bond.

She was an avid church-goer, while in Cincinnati at First United Church of Christ and at the helm was Pastor Daniel J. Weyand-Geise. She had great admiration for Pastor Dan, his sermons, and his family. The family is pleased that he will preside over her burial in Ohio.

Rose is survived by her son Rodney Mark (Donna Ciancio), Two children, Jessica C. Hall (Jonathan) & their 4 children, Madison, Jamison, Kensington, & Ellington; Justin L. Jamison (Stacey Miller) & their 2 children, Makenna & Camden. Sister-in-Law, MaryAnn Wuerth, Brother-in-Law, Ray Culter and a myriad of beloved nieces & nephews in both Florida and Ohio as well as the legacy of friends that have become family.

Rose's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE IN OHIO

No burial service will be held in Florida. She will be flown home to be interred next to her husband, Dale, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Her Celebration of Life visitation in OHIO will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Spring Grove Funeral Homes, located at 4389 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45223. www.springgrove.org

1:00pm - 2:45pm, there will be Visitation &  Memorial Service in the Willow Room at the Funeral Home.

3:00pm, Rosella's Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum on the same grounds.

3:30pm- 5:30pm, The Jamison Family invites you back to the Funeral Home for a gathering of friends & family to connect and tell stories.  Return back to the Funeral Home to the Blue Spruce Chapel, where light refreshments will be served.
