Roger Dale Hewett - February 19, 1957 - October 10, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Dale Hewett announce his unexpected passing on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the age of 63. He passed while in New Mexico doing what he loved, hunting. Roger was an avid outdoorsman that greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting. His passion for marlin fishing took him to annual tournaments in Turks & Caicos and Puerto Rico. He hunted in Florida, Illinois and Iowa, but traveled as far as Argentina & Newfoundland. His presence will be missed by so many that shared these experiences. Roger resided in Cape Coral and grew up in Davie, Florida. His love for the outdoor adventures began in his “backyard” while exploring the Everglades and continued throughout his life. His work mostly took him away from home, but he often made time to visit family & friends along the way. Roger worked as a commercial diver for 20 years and was recently employed as a heavy equipment operator with Orion Industries. He is survived by his loving partner of 28 years, Robin Terzagian and her family, his beloved mother, Patricia Mittasch, his sisters; Peggy Van Dorp, Shelly Baggs, Denise Sanchez (Raul), Brandi Anderson (Bill) and his brother, Jay, his nieces and nephews; Charlie Henry, Autumn Baggs, Cristina Sanchez, Andrew, Griffin and Blake Anderson. He is predeceased by his father, John Hewett. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held for immediate family on Sunday, October 18, 2020 with a memorial service at a later date.
