Robert William Charrette, known affectionately as Bob, a Veteran of Vietnam and longtime resident of Plantation, FL passed away on April 30, 2024.
Born on June 26, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant in Company B, 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Bob didn't speak much about his time in the Army, but he was immensely proud to be a Veteran. His career as a Draftsman was marked by his dedication to enhancing technical engineering at BellSouth/AT&T.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Gilda Galuccio and William Charrette, and his brother Stephen Charrette. He is survived by his loving family, including his son Michael Charrette, daughter Desirée Charrette, and his two grandchildren Dominick and Tyler Charrette.
A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at T.M. Ralph Funeral Homes, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL. Speakers at the service will include Pastor Eric Burch at 12 noon.
Robert William Charrette will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend. May he rest in eternal peace, free from pain, and may he be remembered for the love, laughter, and light he brought into the lives of others.
