Richard Wayne Nickerson

May 26, 1950 — October 19, 2020

Richard W. Nickerson was called home to his Lord early this week. Surrounded by family, Rick lost his long hard battle with Cancer and passed peacefully.

Born to Revera V. (Brooks) Nickerson and Arnold Nickerson on May 26,1950 in Binghamton NY, Rick moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1973. There, he found his devoted and loving soulmate, Sharon K (Lockard) Nickerson. They enjoyed more than 45 years together, embracing their children and grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his wife, Sharon K. Lockard Nickerson, his son Sean, and Stacy (wife) Nickerson and their children Tyler, Kyle, and Brooke. And his daughter Lisa M. Cass and her children Melinda York (husband) Ryan, Jessica Corbett

(husband) Patrick, Danielle Thiel (husband) Mike and Casey LaNave. Rick also leaves behind brothers, Ronnie, Rusty and (wife) Cindy and Bruce Nickerson as well as 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick took great joy in riding his 750 Triumph that he had built with his brother Rusty. Rick had a love for landscaping around his home. Combined with his passionate work ethic as a General Contractor, Rick did large remodeling jobs for many commercial properties in the Ft Lauderdale area.

The family will enjoy a private celebration of Rick's life on Thursday
