Born on December 30, 1960, in Pennsylvania, Richard's journey through life was characterized by his deep love for his family and his unwavering commitment to his profession.

Richard devoted over 30 years of his life to practicing law after earning his degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne Law School. In the legal community of Plantation, he was regarded not just as an accomplished lawyer, but as a compassionate man who always lent an empathetic ear to those in need.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Barbara, with whom he shared a partnership full of love and laughter. Together, they celebrated the milestones of their sons, Grant and Cade, who carry forward the values and lessons imparted by their father. Richard's warmth extended beyond his immediate family, encompassing his father Ron and step-mother Evelyn Mogerman, his sister Jan and brother-in-law Michael Baka, his brother Michael Mogerman, his step-brother Mike, sister-in-law Linda Mogerman, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and MaryEllen Berg. Richard also cherished the laughter and joy of countless nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by his kind spirit.

Ralph Plantation Funeral Home in Plantation, Florida, on September 13, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service celebrating Richard's life at 1:00 PM.
