Paul Joseph Gallagher, 67, of Sunrise, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 30, 2026. Born on February 19, 1959, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Paul lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, his work, and his country.
Paul was a proud graduate of Don Bosco Technical High School and Bridgewater State University. A proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Paul embodied service and commitment. The values he carried from his military service—integrity, discipline, and a deep sense of duty—remained evident in the way he lived and cared for others. He went on to build a distinguished career with the Federal Aviation Administration. As a union representative, Paul was a steadfast advocate for his colleagues, demonstrating the same loyalty and determination that characterized every part of his life.
Above all, Paul’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; his children, Sean Gallagher (Jen), Meghan Douglass (Brian), and Colin Gallagher (Elena); and his cherished grandchildren, Grace and Gunner Gallagher, and Andrew and Riley Douglass, who brought him immense pride and joy and held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his siblings, Cheryl, David, and Diane. Paul’s love for his family was evident in everything he did—from coaching his children’s sports teams to creating lifelong memories through time spent together, especially the moments he shared with his grandchildren.
An avid golfer and boating enthusiast, Paul found peace on the water and camaraderie on the course. Known for his sharp wit and steady presence, he was a loyal friend and mentor to many. His passion for coaching reflected his deep belief in investing in others and helping them grow.
Paul’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion—to his family, his friends, his career, and his country. Those who knew him will remember a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and gave generously.
