Patsy Vito Billera, lovingly known as Pat, left this world on November 15, 2025, at the age of 78, in Plantation, Florida. Born on October 20, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Pat lived a life filled with love, compassion, and wisdom that will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
Pat was deeply committed to his career, serving as the General Manager at Mutual of Omaha for much of his professional life. Following his retirement, he dedicated himself to sharing his knowledge and passion for life insurance, becoming an esteemed instructor at Gold Coast. His career was marked not only by success but also by the respect and admiration he earned from colleagues and students alike.
He proudly served for six years in the National Guard, embodying the values of dedication and service to his country. Pat’s integrity and strong ethical standards were apparent in every facet of his life, guiding him in both his professional and personal endeavors.
A loving husband to his cherished wife, Rosalie Billera, Pat was known for his unwavering devotion and generous spirit. A devoted Father to his children, Dena Esteva and Joe Billera, along with special love his daughter-in-law Lidda Billera and son-in-law Albert Esteva, Brian Smith (Nephew) Richard DeVivo (Nephew) and Susan DeVivo (Niece). Pat's love extended to his grandchildren: Alexis Esteva Marshall, Christopher Esteva, Nicholas Esteva, Lucas Billera, and Aiden Billera and great-granddaughter Cathryne Rose. His influence and inspiration will continue to resonate through their lives.
Aside from his family life, Pat enjoyed sports and theater. He was a supporter of the Miami Dolphins, holding season tickets since the 1970s, sharing countless joyful moments with family and friends at their games. His love for the performing arts also shone when he and Rosalie spent many evenings enjoying the theater together.
Pat cherished the time spent with his family, particularly his annual trips to Summer Bay, which were filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories. These gatherings were a testament to his commitment to keeping family bonds strong and creating lasting traditions.
Known for his wit, Pat had a knack for bringing smiles to those around him. His intelligence garnered profound respect, and his advice was always delivered with insight and care. Pat's strength and pride in doing the right thing were hallmarks of his character, shaping the lives of so many who looked up to him.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever live in the hearts of those he touched. He is reunited in spirit with his beloved mother, Mary Billera; father, Joseph Billera; and sister, Gussie DeVivo, who welcomed him with open arms.
A visitation will be held in his honor at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston in Sunrise, Florida, on November 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass celebrating his life will take place at All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise on November 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM, followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale at 2:00 PM.
Pat’s life was a tapestry of rich experiences and cherished relationships. His memory will continue to be a blessing to all, reminding us of the importance of love, family, and integrity.
