Norman Alston Litchmore, a devoted family man and accomplished district retail manager, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Plantation, Florida. Born on January 13, 1938, in Kingston, Jamaica, Norman’s journey through life was marked by dedication, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.
Norman’s early years in Kingston were shaped by the guidance of his late parents, Melvin Litchmore and Lucille Satchell-Litchmore. After completing his high school education, Norman embarked on a remarkable career in the retail industry, earnestly working his way to the role of district manager. Throughout his professional life, he demonstrated exemplary leadership, integrity, and a sincere devotion to service—qualities that left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
For the past 26 years, Norman called Plantation, Florida, his home, where he established deep roots and meaningful connections. It was here that he cherished simple joys, especially visiting and spending quality time with his family and friends, creating memories that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him best.
Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica Cobb-Litchmore; his children, Anthony George Litchmore, Sharon Elizabeth Osuva, Peter Litchmore, Raymond Litchmore, and Robert Litchmore. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, Melvin Litchmore and Lucille Satchell-Litchmore.
A funeral service in honor of Norman Alston Litchmore will be held at Plantation Methodist Church, located at 1001 NW 70th, Plantation, FL 33313. The service will be conducted in accordance with his wishes.
Norman’s legacy is one of steadfast love, dignified service, and genuine warmth. His memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate to cross his path, and his contributions to his family and community will continue to inspire for generations to come.
