Miriam Josefina Marin de Diaz

Miriam Josefina Marin de Diaz, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2023.

Miriam was born on June 26, 1945, to Lino Marin and Carmen Malavé in Cumaná, Venezuela, where she met and married the great love of her life, José, on August 26, 1966. Together they shared 56 years of marriage, raising a loving family in Caracas, Venezuela, before moving to Weston, Florida. She was the devoted mother of José Díaz Marín (Jennifer Storey) and Mariela Díaz-Butler (Robert Butler). Her greatest delight was being grandmother to her 4 grandchildren Daniel, Sophia, David and Elizabeth. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her sister Sara and her brother Miguel, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her sisters Dina, Noemi, and Eudorina.

She touched the lives of everyone who met her. She was larger than life, and her spirit and light will shine upon all of those who had the privilege to know her.
