Marta V. Machado

Marta V. Machado, age 93, died on September 18, 2023, in Lauderhill, Florida.

Mrs. Machado is survived by her son George Machado and his wife Brette, as well as grandchildren Melissa and Ryan of Weston, Florida; and her daughter Martha Machado, of Delray Beach, Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband Jorge Machado of Atlanta, Georgia, and her sister Luz Maria Rojas of Atlanta, Georgia.

Mrs. Machado was born on December 29, 1929 in Havana, Cuba to parents Eujenio and Onelia Valdes. She graduated from college in Havana, Cuba with a degree in accounting. In 1970 She and her family immigrated to the United States and in Atlanta, Georgia worked for more than 20 years at The Presbyterian Center as an accountant. After relocating to Miami, FL, she continued her career in accounting working with the United Way and Federal Emergency Management Administration.

Services for Mrs. Machado were held in Tucker, Georgia on October 2, 2023, at Floral Hills Funeral Home followed by burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
