We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Mario Eduardo Abril on September 23rd.

Mario was born in Miami on February 8, 1970. He was a loving and committed father, brother, and son. Mario’s travels as a young man took him from Miami to El Salvador, Los Angeles to Santiago de Chile, and many other places far beyond. During his many travels, Mario built meaningful and lasting friendships throughout the world before settling down in Broward County.

His passion for photography led to a career at Foxmar where he worked for over 20 years. It was dedication to his career and desire to expand the Foxmar footprint where Mario's name became synonymous with quality in the South Florida school photography industry. His clients and colleagues will carry the memory of his smile forever.

Those whose lives Mario touched will remember him more than anything for his love of family. Occasionally, time spent doting on his kids would be interrupted by a round of golf, a good cigar, and more recently, a competitive game of pickleball.

Mario is survived by his beloved children, Michael, and Arianna; sister Terri Abril-Ciliento; mother, Teresa Abril; fiancé and soulmate, Sarah McGee, niece Kaila and nephew Tyler, and cousins who will all share warm memories for years to come.
