In Loving Memory of Margie Gwennette Goodman March 27, 1945 – October 19, 2025
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we celebrate the life of Margie Gwennette Goodman, who passed peacefully in the early morning hours of October 19, 2025, at 1:01 a.m. She was 80 years old — a lifetime filled with kindness, laughter, and devotion to the people she loved most. Born on March 27, 1945, Margie lived her life in service to others, giving endlessly from a heart that never knew limits. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she created a home that was always open — a place where warmth and love could always be found. Everyone felt like she was their mother, because she raised and took care of so many. Her love was steady and unconditional, her wisdom gentle but strong, and her presence a comfort to all who knew her. Margie’s days were filled with simple joys — tending her garden, surrounding herself with flowers, cooking for her family, and cherishing every moment spent with those she held dear. Her laughter could light up a room, and her compassion left an imprint on every life she touched. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Goodman, Sr., and her two devoted children, Wendy Mueller (husband, John Mueller) and Edward Goodman, Jr. (wife, Lisa Goodman). She was preceded in death by her beloved children Susan and Lee, who she now joins in eternal peace. Margie also leaves behind six adored grandchildren — Jessica Cahill (husband, Daniel Cahill), Ralph Martin(companion, Alia), Justice Mueller (wife, Korie Mueller), Alexa Goodman (husband, Cody), Miranda Goodman, and Abby Goodman — and five precious great-grandchildren who filled her heart with endless joy and pride. Her love of life, her nurturing spirit, and her unwavering strength will live on in each of them. Her legacy is not measured in years, but in the love she sowed — in gardens and in hearts — that will continue to bloom for generations to come. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A Funeral. Service to honor and celebrate Margie’s beautiful life will start at 12:00 Noon. at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th Street, Plantation, Florida 33317. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering a life so well lived. Burial will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 SW 4 Avenue Fort Lauderdale, FL. Though she may have left this earth, Margie’s spirit will forever surround those she loved — in the flowers that bloom, the meals shared, and the memories that bring comfort in quiet moments. ---
“Her Hands” *Written in loving memory*
Her hands were never idle — they mended, they fed, they gave. They brushed away tears, planted seeds, and lifted others with grace. Those same hands held ours through joy and sorrow, Guiding gently, loving fiercely, never letting go too soon. Her voice could calm the storms we faced, Her smile could warm the coldest day. She carried our worries as if they were her own, And in her arms, the world always felt safe. Now Heaven holds the hands that once held us, And though we cannot see her face, We feel her everywhere — In the blooms of her garden, in laughter at the table, In every act of love we pass on because she taught us how. Rest now, dear Margie. You’ve given this world your best — And left behind a love That will never fade.
