Margaret Lauretta Castranova, a cherished mother, grandmother, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Margate, Florida. She was born on March 29, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, where her journey began before she embraced the warmer shores of Florida later in life.
Margaret’s life was marked by devotion to her family and an enduring kindness that touched all who knew her. She is lovingly remembered by her son, David Castranova, and his wife, Amanda, who stood faithfully by her side; her granddaughter, Alexandra Rose Castranova, and great-granddaughter, Dallas Grace Honc, who brought joy and pride into her later years. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Harry and Rose Mastriano, whose memory she held close to her heart.
A visitation and prayer service will be held in honor of Margaret’s life on March 20, 2026, at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston, located at 371 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL 33325. The visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 3:30 p.m., concluding at 4:00 p.m.
