M. Jayne Thomas Flanigan

M. Jayne Thomas Flanigan, age 86, of Plantation, Florida, passed away surrounded by loved ones on the 15th of April 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend whose kindness and strength touched all who knew her.

Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Jayne carried with her the values of family, resilience, and community throughout her life. She shared a loving marriage of sixty years with her beloved husband, Louis Lafayette Flanigan.

Jayne was a proud and active member of her community and the founder of the Plantation Acres Woman Club in 1991. Through her leadership and dedication, she helped create a lasting organization that brought women together in friendship, service, and support for the Plantation community she loved so dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Apryl Ann Flanigan.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Louis Lafayette Flanigan; her son, Joseph “Jobey” Flanigan (Blair); her grandchildren, Kelly-Anne Flanigan Kirby (Rhett), Joseph Rian Flanigan (Vanessa), and Jenna Flanigan (Espy); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Jaydyn Flanigan, Caleb Flanigan, Willa Kirby, and Easton Flanigan.

Jayne will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, grace, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the family she adored.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
