Lynette Pennant passed away January 15, 2020.

Born on October 29, 1925 in Manchester, Jamaica, Lynnette Henrietta Pennant, was the second to oldest of 8 siblings born to the late Blanche and Abraham Broomfield. Lynette later married Llachlan Pennant where they had 6 children.

Lynette migrated from Jamaica to New York in the early 60’s where she worked at Burke Rehabilitation Center in White Plains, New York as a nursing assistant. After retirement, she relocated to Sunrise, Florida.

Her life in Sunrise Florida, consisted of being an active member of First Baptist Church of Sunrise, and of the Sunrise Community. She was very passionate about gardening, cooking and baking for her loved ones. She was a devoted mother and caregiver who earned the respect and love of all who came to know her. Lynette was a Warrior of God and spent her time witnessing to anyone in need of some prayer and encouraging words.

She leaves behind her children, Beverly, David, and Cecil; three sisters: Claris, Ivy, and Lee; three brothers: Eddie, Kenton, and Oswald; 21 Grandchildren, and 40 Great Grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends. This wonderful woman of God is now at peace and resting safely in His arms.

Funeral Service Saturday at First Baptist Church of Sunrise 11:00 AM

 Burial to follow Lauderdale Memorial Park
