Luisa Del Salto

Luisa M. Del Salto, 92, passed away April 10, 2021, with her husband by her side in Weston, Florida.

Luisa was born November 6, 1928 in Cienfuego, Cuba. Luisa is survived by her beloved husband Jesús Del Salto. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Luisa Huerta of Cienfuego, Cuba. Luisa is survived by a sister, María de la Caridad and a niece, Lourdes.

Luisa was an active member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and volunteered within several groups in the church. Her interests included traveling, sewing and she loved taking pictures.  She enjoyed gatherings with her family and friends whether to chat or to play cards or dominoes. After retiring, she had the amazing opportunity to travel extensively alongside her husband and friends. Among all the places she visited, Paris was the place that won her heart. 

Luisa’s beautiful smile could light up a room. Luisa was a doting daughter and loved by all who she knew. She will be dearly missed. 

A Mass to celebrate Luisa’s life will take place at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Davie, Florida on April 15, 2021, followed by a graveside service at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North, Miami.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity close to Luisa's heart.

Luisa Del Salto falleció el 10 de abril de 2021.  Deja a su esposo Jesús Del Salto , a su hermana María de la Caridad y a su sobrina Lourdes. 

Luisa era miembro activo de la Iglesia Católica, St. Bonaventure en Davie, Florida,  donde era voluntaria. Entre los intereses de Luisa estaba viajar, coser y le encantaba tomar fotografías. Luisa disfrutaba reunirse con sus familiares y amigos ya fuese para conversar y compartir o  jugar cartas o dominó. 

Después de su retiro, Luisa tuvo la oportunidad de viajar extensamente junto a su esposo Jesús y algunas de sus amistades. De todos los lugares que Luisa visitó fue la ciudad de París la que cautivo su corazón.

Luisa fue una hija dedicada a sus padres y  muy querida por sus familiares y amigos. Luisa tenía una sonrisa contagiosa y con ella iluminaba su entorno, la vamos a extrañar mucho. 

Se llevará a cabo una misa para celebrar la vida de Luisa en la Iglesia Catolica,  St. Bonaventure en Davie, Florida a las 10 de la mañana el 15 de abril del 2021. Posteriormente el cortejo fúnebre se dirigirá hasta el cementerio Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North, Miami, Florida. 

En lugar de flores, se sugieren donaciones a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, una causa que Luisa siempre tuvo muy presente y con la cual colaboraba.
