It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luisa Christopher.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 28 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. at our Plantation location.
Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Monday, April 29 at 11:30 A.M. at All Saints Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Saint Raymond Cemetery located in Bronx, New York.
She was pre deceased by her husband George Richard Christopher and son George Xavier Christopher.
Born in Manzanillo Cuba she came to NYC where she married George and was able to live the “American Dream”. They moved from their South Bronx apartment in 1961 “uptown” to their own home. She is cherished by her family as she helped them all to eventually leave Cuba.
She helped to care for her daughter Linda’s young children and eventually retired to Sunrise FL to escape the NY winters and be closer to her beloved sisters.
For reasons no one remembers they all claimed to be 2 years younger than they actually were on their arrival from Cuba. So she actually reached 100 years old this past December. She’ll be remembered for her happy disposition and most of all - her red lipstick.
Interment services will take place in Bronx, NY, entrusted to Schuyler Hill Funeral Home.
