Lorraine Rinkus

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Lorraine Rinkus, also affectionately known to her grandchildren as “Nana,” who left this world on June 28, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born on February 13, 1955, in Nuneaton, England, she was raised by her loving parents Ernie and Jean Wood along with her brothers David, Paul, and Phillip, and sister Christine. Lorraine brought light, warmth, and kindness wherever she went, and her memory forever enriches those who had the privilege to know her.

Lorraine’s journey from her birthplace in England to her cherished home in Florida was marked by love, resilience, and genuine compassion. Her presence was a source of comfort and inspiration; laughter followed her, and her wisdom grounded those near her. Lorraine’s life was a tapestry adorned with generosity, humor, and poignant moments that will long be remembered.

She was a beloved wife to her devoted husband, Daniel Rinkus, whose steadfast partnership reflected the depth of their bond. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, respect, and unwavering support. Lorraine was the cherished mother to Kelly and Charlotte, who carry her spirit and strength within them. She was also a loving stepmother to Heath and Luke, with whom she shared kindness, understanding, and encouragement. In every role, Lorraine gave her whole heart, forming connections that shaped her family and made each day richer.

To her family, Lorraine was a guiding star and a source of unconditional love. She made every gathering brighter, every challenge lighter, and every milestone more meaningful. As “Nana,” she embodied warmth and acceptance, her hugs and words a haven for all. The lessons she imparted and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to uplift and inspire.

A visitation to honor Lorraine’s life and memory will be held at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317, on July 12, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The funeral service  LIVE STREAM LINK will follow at the same location beginning at 10:00 a.m., a time to gather together, share cherished memories, and celebrate a remarkable life. A graveside service will take place at Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 SW 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315, at 12:00 p.m.

Even as we mourn her loss, we are comforted by the deep imprint Lorraine has left on the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed yet forever remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration. Her legacy lives on in her family, in every story and every memory she leaves behind.
