Listen to Obituary

Lorraine A. Ciorra, 77, Unexpectedly passed away on October 14th, 2020 of acute myeloid leukemia while in Florida visiting her sister Phyllis DeMasi who was by her side. Lorraine is survived by her only child, Michelle Ciorra(Carl), sister Phyllis DeMasi, brother Michael Ciorra and his wife Donna who was like a sister to Lorraine, niece Renee Ciorra(Traci), her best friend for decades Gloria Liebling-Calkins and her Grand dog Scarlett whom she adored.

Lorraine was the best Mother, friend, sister, daughter, cousin, neighbor, and boss that anyone could hope for dedicating all of her heart and soul into her long successful career in the Eye Care field, as well as being the best Mom any child could wish for to her daughter, Michelle.

Lorraine was an innovator groundbreaking pioneer in the Pittsburgh Eye Care field being one of the first females in a management position. Not surprisingly, Michelle followed in her role model Mother's footsteps in the same field.

The bond between Mother and daughter will never be broken and Lorraine will always be the wind beneath Michelle's wings.

Lorraine was always full of life and love. She had a gift of being able to connect with anyone as if she knew them for years and everyone she encountered walked away with a smile. A dog lover, sun worshiper, gifted home decorator and magnificent cook.

Lorraine's true passion in life was singing. Lorraine had an incredible voice. She was the star of any karaoke show!

Selfless, street smart, funny, caring, nurturing and always concerned about others. She's now an angel singing in Heaven joining her Mother, Amelia Scafuri. Father Michael Ciorra Sr and Grand dogs. Mia and Chloe. Whom she loved dearly.

Lorraine was the definition of beautiful inside and out and will be missed by so many.

There will be a small, private intimate service in Florida where she loved to be. in Lieu of flowers. Please consider donating to or adopting a rescue from Paws Across Pittsburgh or any local rescue.
