Lito T. Gomez, born on September 3, 1941, in Manila, Philippines, departed this life on June 1, 2025, in Plantation, Florida.
Lito moved to South Florida in 1977 from New York, bringing with him his Filipino roots. He carried upon his shoulders the values of hard work and service, which he exemplified throughout his life.
Throughout his years, Lito was actively engaged in his community. As a proud member of Couples for Christ and the Filipino American Association, he fostered relationships and contributed positively to the lives around him, embodying the spirit of kinship and generosity.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Gomez, his cherished daughter, Lorraine Gomez Estrada, his son-in-law Camilo Estrada, and two grandchildren, Lucas and Isabel Estrada, along with many other loving family and friends who will deeply miss his presence and warm spirit. He was the youngest of 7 children who he will be reunited with.
The visitation for Lito T. Gomez will be held on June 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317. A Mass in his honor will take place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the morning at All Saints Catholic Church, located at 10900 W Oakland Park Blvd, Sunrise, FL 33351. Following the Mass, a graveside prayers will be held at Our Lady Queen Heaven Cemetery at 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. The family suggests sending flowers or making a donation in his name to a Parkinson’s charity of your choice.
Lito T. Gomez will be remembered as a devoted husband, a beloved father and grandfather, supportive ninong and uncle, and a respected community member who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
