Words can’t express the sorrow we feel today as we must say goodbye to our mother, our grandmother, and our great grandmother. She lived a full and faithful life on her terms, choosing to be a wife and mother above all else. Her faith in God was unwavering. She was the heart of our family and the glue that binds us together. She leaves her five sons, five daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved fiercely, with so many wonderful memories to keep alive in our hearts forever. We were so fortunate to have her with us for so many years. She was our matriarch and our queen. We will miss her forever.
She decided when she was ready for St. Anthony to lead her to her Heavenly Father. She died at 100 years old, as she lived, on her terms, peacefully surrounded by her family holding her hands, stroking her hair, praying, and singing. We should all be so lucky.
