Larry N. Molyneux of Plantation, FL went home to be the Lord on July 2, 2024. Larry was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at Broward General. He loved to tell people he was born in what is now the cafeteria of Broward Health. He was the oldest of three children.
Larry was born to parents Robert L. Molyneux and Mary V. Elmore on July 11, 1944. He worked at Union 76 Oil Company for 18 years, and then spent the rest of his working career in the customer service industry.
He married Jacqueline B. Wetherington on June 1, 1968. They were married for 56 years. During their marriage, they were faithful members of First Baptist Fort Lauderdale and Sheridan Hills Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed singing hymns in the choir, and was part of the singing Christmas Tree at Sheridan Hills. He worked many years with his wife Jackie in the children's ministry, and in more recent years served as a greeter. Larry loved the Lord and his church. Worship was an important part of his life.
Father of Robert (Tara) Molyneux and Tiffany (Justin) Burr. Beloved Pawpaw to Leah Molyneux, Colton Molyneux, Madelyn Molyneux, Charles Burr, and James Burr (soon to arrive). Larry is survived by his brother Michael (Kay) Molyneux and Donna (Barney) Howell.
Larry had a passion for history, and a special interest in the history of Broward County. His mother came to Broward in 1923. Larry had an incredible memory, and could recall all of his doctor's phone numbers without the need to look them up. He loved animals, and in him they sensed a kind soul that would give them extra scratches and attention. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren...especially if it involved dinner or food of any kind.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sheridan House Ministries or Hope Women's Centers. Viewing to be held on Friday at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Plantation.
