Kristin Marie Jordahl

Kristin Jordahl passed away on March 4, 2020 after a long and hard fought battle. 

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to announce that on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, Mrs. Kristin Marie Jordahl,
the beloved wife of Fire Chief Joseph R. Fernandez, passed away at 48 years of age. Mrs. Jordahl served her career
with the City of Miami Department of Fire Rescue, Division of Emergency Management as the UASI Special Projects
Coordinator. She previously held the position of Grants Writer also with the City of Miami. She was employed from
June 2, 2002, until the time of her passing. Mrs. Jordahl was a public servant who was dedicated to serving the first
responder community. Kristin was a courageous warrior that mounted a fifteen-year campaign where she continuously
won battle after battle against this insidious disease known as breast cancer until this bittersweet loss. Funeral
arrangements are as follows:

The repast and a memorial lunch will immediately follow the mass at the Church Parish Hall.
