Kimberly Barter Shuford

March 31, 1963 — July 31, 2021

Kimberly Alison Barter Shuford born March 31, 1963 in Manchester, NH passed away unexpectedly from cardiac complications in her Plantation, FL home on July 31, 2021, at the age of 58. Kimberly is survived by her sons Derek Rogers (wife Samantha Rogers) of Loxahatchee. FL and James Shuford III of Plantation, FL, father Richard E. Barter and mother Janet M. (Foster) Barter of Plantation, FL, sister Tamara L. Malinski (husband Richard Malinski) of Coconut Creek, FL and brother James E. Barter (wife Brooke Barter) of Plantation, FL, grandchildren Austin and Carter, nieces Annalee, Madison and Mackenzie. Kimberly lived in Peterborough, NH for the first 15 years of her life before the Barter family moved to South Florida, eventually settling in Plantation, where she graduated from South Plantation High School. Kimberly spent many happy years as a wife and mother before embarking on a fulfilling career as Office Manager for H. Lamm Industries in Oakland Park, FL for over 20 years. Kimberly’s hobbies included reading suspense novels that her dad shared with her, traveling to island destinations and spending time with her family and pets. She was fortunate to live in Grand Cayman Island residing in a beautiful ocean-front home for several years in the early 2000’s, and told anyone who would listen that it was the place where she was happiest. Kimberly expressed a desire to have her cremains dispersed there; the family plans to honor her wish on an unspecified date. A Celebration of Life is in the planning stages and family and friends will be notified.
