Kerin Hamilton

Kerin Ward Hamilton was born on March 13, 1936, and passed away peacefully in her home on March 10, 2026, just days before her 90th birthday. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she moved to Florida at the age of 9, growing up in Fort Lauderdale, where the ocean captured her heart for a lifetime.

At 18, Kerin married her high school sweetheart, William, and together they built a loving family and a life rooted in devotion to one another and their children.

More than anything, Kerin loved the Lord and her family. She would always say that raising her children was the best part of her life, and she continuously created a warm, welcoming home. The holidays were especially dear to her—full of shared meals, laughter, and traditions. Her home was decorated with her favorite color which included blue carpet, blue drapes and blue Christmas lights. Those gatherings remain some of her family’s sweetest memories—cherished by her children, grandchildren, and the many extended family members who loved being in her home.

Kerin loved spending time outdoors with her family; relaxing by the backyard pool, camping, going to the beach, water skiing, and boating while watching the porpoises swim alongside. She also treasured traveling together, cruising Alaska, the Greek Islands, Mexico, and the islands off South Florida.

Kerin will remain in the hearts of her family forever. She will be remembered for her zest for life, joyful laughter, loving soul, warm smile, and striking bright blue eyes.

Kerin is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, William; her daughter, Debra Hamilton, and her guide dog, Sirius; her son, Greg Hamilton, and his wife, Terry; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hamilton; and her three beloved grandchildren, Justin, Mason, and Chelsi Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her second son, William Bradley Hamilton.
