Karin Anna Jahncke Schnider was born in Lima, Peru on January 1, 1960. She lived a beautiful and adventurous life as an incredible wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Miguel Jahncke, and her twin daughters, Alexis and Daniela Jahncke, as well as her two siblings and their families.
Karin loved Jesus more than anything or anyone in this world. Her legacy remains as someone who stood strong in her faith and love of Christ—a devoted servant, prayer warrior, and passionate evangelizer. She lived out Paul’s encouragement in Philippians 1:21, “To live is Christ and to die is gain.” Her greatest joy was looking forward to spending eternity praising her Lord and Savior. And now that is exactly what she’s doing.
She enjoyed the fun and thrill of traveling and activities like bungee jumping, but even more, she loved sharing the Gospel and hope of Christ while volunteering with organizations like Samaritan’s Purse and going on mission trips. Her greatest blessing was being a wife and mother, and she took her responsibility seriously to raise her daughters in the knowledge of the Word of God.
So today, we celebrate the life of a faith-filled woman that generously gave in every way possible for the purpose of letting others know that Jesus loves them.
“Don’t cry because I’m gone. I’m in the best place possible—in heaven with Jesus. But it’s okay to cry because you miss me.”
You are and will be missed...until we see you again.
