Jessie Chiccone, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2026 while under Vitas Hospice Care in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was born August 29, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Baraso and later baptized on October 31st, 1937.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Chiccone and son Joseph Chiccone.

She is survived by her children, Edward C. Chiccone, Regina Chiccone, Michael Chiccone and his wife Elizabeth (Lizz) Chiccone.

Jessie Chiccone, a devoted Catholic with a deep abiding faith, was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church since 1967, taught religious education, sung in the choir and served as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion.  She also washed altar cloths, arranged flowers around the chancel and volunteered at the rectory for 10 years.   She professed as a Secular Franciscan on October 4, 1987 and served as Treasurer, Infirmarian and Minister. She was elected minister of the Saint Joseph Fraternity from April 2019 to December 2019 and again on May 2, 2021. 

Please join us as we remember Mrs. Jessie Joan Chiccone on Thursday June 4th at 12:30pm with the celebration of Mass at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.

She will be buried next to her beloved husband Edward at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery following the Mass.
