Jean Ingraham

August 3, 1937 — December 11, 2020

Our beloved Jean Ingraham was called home by the Lord on December 11, 2020 when she passed away unexpectedly after a sudden illness. She has joined the angels in heaven and has been reunited with her husband Roosevelt and family who have passed before her. Jean had a benevolent spirit befriending all who crossed her path with a heart for giving, she was always there for family and friends in need. She was a devout Catholic who embraced the concept of serving others and attending mass. In church she drew comfort from her loving relationships with other members and from her personal relationship with God. Jean was born In Morant Bay, Jamaica August 3, 1937 where she grew up with her brothers Carl and Clinton and raised by her mother Lucille Chin. She migrated to the States at as a young adult to pursue her Education and Career. Jean was married to Roosevelt Ingraham who passed away May 1994. For many years Jean worked at FPL before she started teaching. Her care and dedication for her students was quite evident until she retired early this year 2020. Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verse Ephesians 4:32 –“And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ” Jean will always be remembered for the love and devotion for her family. She is survived by her brothers Carl Chin and Clinton Chin along with her nieces and nephews all she loved and touched deeply. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 12 Noon at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Facial covering and social distancing must be followed. Please follow all instructions at the church or the cemetery.
