Janice Mary Leannais, born on January 29, 1950, peacefully passed away on February 15, 2025, at the Life Care Center of Inverrary. She was a dedicated educator, having taught mathematics at both public and private high schools, and later served as a math tutor at Palm Beach College. Janice's passion for teaching and her remarkable intelligence were apparent to all who had the privilege of being in her classroom.
A proud alumna of Marquette University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics education, Janice embraced the joy of learning and imparted this love to her students. Her ability to connect with young minds and her great sense of humor made her a beloved figure among her students and colleagues alike.
Family was paramount in Janice's life. She cherished moments spent with loved ones, creating lasting memories through many delightful trips to Disney, outings to Butterfly World, and visits to the Morikami Museum. Her passion for life extended to solving difficult crossword puzzles and sudoku, hobbies that showcased her sharp mind and determination.
Janice leaves behind her brothers, James Leannais and Joseph Leannais, and her sister, Joan Sperber and nieces and nephews. She is reunited in spirit with her loving parents, Mary and Clayton Leannais, as well as her late siblings, Jean Spanolia and John Leannais.
Janice Mary Leannais will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to education and the love she shared with those around her. She touched many lives and leaves a legacy of warmth and kindness.
