Ivanhoe Mongol Maragh passed away on July 6, 2023 at the age of 82 years old in Plantation, Florida. He is now resting in peace with no more suffering. He was a strong and courageous fighter and never gave up. Despite the pain, Ivanhoe remained strong and always thought about others. He had a generous and compassionate heart and all those who were blessed to be in contact with him felt his love.
Ivanhoe was born in Spanish Town, JA on June 25, 1941 to his mother Ivy Mongol. He grew up with his aunts, uncles and many cousins. He learned at a young age the importance of working hard and striving high to accomplish his goals. He was married to his lovely wife Dulcie Maragh on October 1, 1966 in England and was a devoted husband to her until she passed due to illness on March 29, 2008.
He lived an active life working as a Stationary Engineer in NY and then as a Broward County School Bus Driver in Florida until he retired in 2004. He enjoyed volunteering at his church, Plantation United Methodist Church and serving others. He often liked to prepare meals and special treats for others and took joy in their enjoyment.
He leaves behind his daughter, Karen Maragh, grandson, Jacob McCalla, niece who is like a daughter to him, Kerri Ann Murphy, and many other family members and friends. He will be dearly missed but his memories will stay alive and cherished forever.
