Italia Concetta Zazzara

Italia Concetta Zazzara, lovingly known as Connie, passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on December 7, 1937, in Paternopoli, Avellino, Italy, and carried with her a spirit that was warm, lively, and deeply devoted to the people she loved most.

Connie will be remembered as a woman who found joy in both everyday life and in the special moments that brought people together. She worked in the bakery at Publix, where her steady presence and hard work were part of the life she built with care and dedication. Outside of work, she embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. She loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed fitness, walking, and going to the gym. These passions reflected her vibrant nature and her desire to keep moving, stay engaged, and enjoy each day fully.

Above all else, Connie’s proudest accomplishment was her family. They were the center of her heart and the greatest source of her happiness. She is survived by her daughters, Luisa D’Amato-Wong of Weston, Florida, and Ivana D’Amato-Bonkowski of Weston, Florida. She was the cherished grandmother of 4 In them, and in the love family shared, her legacy continues. The bond she nurtured within her family will remain a lasting gift, carried forward in memory, gratitude, and love.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jospeh D’Amato, whose memory remained an important part of her life’s story.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the service time at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston, 371 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, Florida 33325. A funeral service will also be held there on September 22, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Connie will be remembered for her love of family, her graceful spirit, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
