Hippolyte Edouard Ledee, 91 years young, of the Island of Saint Barthélemy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love he gave so freely throughout his life. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and the heart of his family, Hippolyte lived a life defined by strength, generosity, and an endless devotion to those he loved.
He was the beloved husband of Denise, his “Nena” of sixty-three years, his companion, and the love of his life. Together they shared a lifetime of memories, building a family rooted in loyalty, perseverance, and unconditional love. Their bond was one of deep respect and quiet strength, the kind that only grows stronger with time.
Hippolyte was the proud father of Frank and Ralph, who were the center of his world. He led them not only with words, but with example — teaching them to work hard, stand tall, protect their family, and never lose sight of what truly matters.
Nothing brought him more happiness than being the grandfather of Kevin and Noah. His grandsons filled him with pride and joy, and his eyes lit up whenever he spoke about them. He loved them deeply and steadily, always present with quiet strength, encouragement, and unconditional love.
He warmly welcomed his daughters-in-law, Deanne and Stephanie, into the family, loving them as his own and taking great pride in the family they built together.
Born on the beautiful Island of Saint Barthélemy, Hippolyte carried the spirit of the island with him throughout his life — resilient, hardworking, independent, and full of warmth. An entrepreneur by nature, he was never afraid of hard work and was always determined to provide for his family and create something lasting for those who would come after him.
He also shared a lifelong bonds with his brothers Stephane and Robert, and his sister Jeanette built on love, loyalty, and years of shared memories.
To his family, he was their protector, their guide, and their foundation.
To his friends, he was loyal, dependable, and generous.
To those who knew him best, he was a man of strong will, deep love, and a heart that never stopped giving.
He leaves behind his loving wife Denise, his sons Frank and Ralph, his daughters-in-law Deanne and Stephanie, his grandsons Kevin and Noah, his brother Robert, his nieces and nephews and his dear friends and a lifetime of memories that will forever live in their hearts.
His love will continue to guide them.
His strength will continue to inspire them.
And his presence will always be felt in the family he cherished above all else.
Forever loved. Forever in our hearts. Forever our strength.
