Hilda Chan

Hilda Chan, aged 90, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in Bonita Springs, Florida. She was born on November 21, 1935, in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. In 1982, she immigrated to the United States, and resided in Plantation, Florida, until 2023.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Hilda is lovingly remembered by her surviving family: Daughters Hilda (Zamora), Maria (Marin), Sylvia, Patty (Phelan), and son Agustin Jr. She was fondly called Lita by her grandchildren Gino, Jessica, Krista, Isabella, Gus, Patrick and Connie, and great-grandchildren Adriana, Leo, Mila, Nico and Thomas Henry. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, J. Agustin. 

May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 1500 S. State Road 7, in North Lauderdale, Florida. Reception to follow at The Marin Residence, 9705 East Tree Tops Court in Davie, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to one of Hilda's favorite charities, EWTN, the largest Catholic television network in the United States, which provided her with daily mass in the comfort of her blue recliner.
