Herman A. Heinlein, born in Hempstead, New York on May 13, 1933 joined his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 23, 2026. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Ardini and his two wives, Mary Ann Heinlein and Ida Moriconi-Heinlein. He is survived by his sister, Rose Daley, his brother, George Heinlein, his six sons, Herman, Edward, John, Joseph, Thomas and Robert, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, with one on the way.
Herman thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. His favorite pastimes were golf, horse racing, and spending time with his family.
Herman was a faithful Catholic whose faith sustained him through difficult times and helped him appreciate life's blessings. In later years, he became closer to God through daily prayer.
Herman died peacefully with loving family at his side, leaving behind a legacy of memories and love.
Per his wishes, in lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate a donation for the continuing support of the Mary Ann Heinlein Scholarship Fund.
