Service can be viewed HERE Gary Scott Hancock of Weston, FL passed away October 25, 2021. A native Floridian, he was born in Miami. He was preceded in death by his mother June Huegel, and his brothers David and Gene. He celebrated 37 years of marriage with his wife and best friend, Michele. He is survived by his loving daughter Vickie (J.C.) Cueto of Pembroke Pines, sister Gayle (Rob) Sisak, and his furry companion Reagan and grandog Dessy. He is also survived by a large extended family. Gary served with Metro Dade Police Department as a Lieutenant. He was most proud of his service to his country in Vietnam with the US Army. He loved sports of all kinds and his interests were varied. Gary was very athletic and loved playing many sports and excelled in all of them. He loved watching U of M football, the Dolphins, NASCAR, MMA and golf. He was naturally talented and could build, fix, or wire anything. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at T.M. Ralph Sawgrass Funeral Home 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, FL 33325. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 10:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Burial will take place at a later date. In his memory donations are suggested to Wounded Warrior Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital
