Gail Susan Smith

Gail Susan Smith, 75, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend passed peacefully on April 10, 2024. Gail is survived by her three children, Kier (Lily), Kris (Ken), and Kevin (Jenna) with her former spouse, David; her six grandchildren, Keden, Kalli, Jake, Carley, Rileigh, and Andrew; and her two sisters Bonnie (Greg) and Claudia; leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Gail was known to many as a generous and light-hearted friend. She loved the simple things in life, spending time with her family and friends, shopping, lunch bunches, and her pets.

Gail was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Robert and Winifred Muirhead and moved to Florida when she was four. She graduated from Stranahan High School in 1966 and then from Broward College in 1969. She received a Cardiovascular Technology Certificate at William McFatter in 1993. She worked as an EKG Technician at Westside Regional Hospital and then became an instructor at Broward College and William McFatter. She was a longtime resident of Plantation, FL. 

As many can attest, Gail loved to help those in need, and she will be greatly missed and always remembered in their hearts. We are sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who supported and comforted us during this loss.
