Felicia Martinez, affectionately known as Fefa, passed from this world on November 15, 2025 at the age of 87 in Hollywood, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. Born on November 12, 1938, in La Palma, Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Felicia's journey was marked by unwavering devotion to her family, a vibrant spirit, and the boundless joy she brought to life’s simplest moments.
Fefa was first and foremost a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and an expert seamstress. She gracefully walked the delicate path of motherhood, ensuring every stitch in life was woven with love. Her remarkable talents extended beyond sewing; she was a gifted caregiver, nurturing those around her with an unparalleled commitment. Felicia was the culinary artist of her family, with a gift for cooking that earned her the title of “the best” among those fortunate enough to savor her delectable Cuban dishes. Her incredible talents found further expression in her flourishing garden, where she could take any plant, tree, or flower and create beauty, even when hope seemed lost. Let’s not forget about her affection for dogs.. they felt her warmth and were drawn to her.
Known for her high energy, Fefa could light up a room with her witty humor and soulful music. She delighted in dancing around the house, an infectious whirl of joy, with her children and grandchildren, reminding them always to embrace the rhythm of life. Her laughter echoed throughout her home, and her unwavering selflessness and loyalty were cornerstones of her personality. Fefa was truly a woman who loved with every ounce of her being, always putting her family and friends first.
The sweetest memories of Felicia span generations, with echoes of her loving phone calls at all hours of the day, checking in to make sure everyone was alright—never ending a conversation without the heartfelt words, “I love you.” These small yet profound gestures illuminated her deep commitment to her family, enriching their lives in ways that words can scarcely capture.
Felicia is survived by her cherished children, Henry Martinez, Willie Martinez and Diane Martinez; and two bonus daughter in laws, Kim and Freya Martinez along with her adored grandchildren: Christina Odom, Ashley Sullivan, William A. Martinez, Mikayla Martinez Hobbs, and Francis Martinez.
