Our beloved mother, Faye A Coughlin (Plante), 96, passed away October 12, 2021 in Coconut Creek, Florida after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born September 21, 1925 in Springfield, Massachusetts, she lived a full and happy life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Ethel (Whitman) Santini; her first husband of 49 years, Roland Paul Plante; and her second husband of 22 years, Francis Coughlin; her children Paul Plante and Scott Plante and her brothers and sisters, Donald, Daniel, David, Alice and Virginia. She is survived by her children, Diana Kimball, Lorrie (Thomas) Gross, Patricia Holley and Roland “Russ” (Barbara Brick) Plante II; her daughters-in-law, Jeanette Plante and Andrea Plante; as well as nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One of Faye’s jobs was at the Unites States Envelope Company in Springfield. Faye and Roland also owned R&F Dry Cleaning Company in Springfield. Faye worked as a supervisor at Kings Department Store in Springfield and then Faye and Roland moved to south Florida in 1961 where Faye continued to work for Kings Department store. Faye was a teacher at Royal Palm Elementary School in Lauderhill where she retired in 1982. Faye loved to spend time with her family and playing slot machines at the Isle Casino in Pompano where she went on Sundays to have French toast with her son Russ. She enjoyed cruising, going to the dog track, Disney World and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
