Evelyn died at her home on the evening of May 23, 2022. She was a beloved sister and single mother who enjoyed her volunteer work with Sunrise Senior Center. She was a devoted Christian and attended Community Christian Church. She loved playing Bingo and Mahjong with her friends. She was an avid bowler who loved musical shows.
She was a fighter. She went out of her way to be your friend, with love for everyone who came into her life.
She is survived by her sister Gladys Olavarria and brother-in-law Raymond, of Hialeah Gardens, FL; and sons Christopher Verdugo, of San Francisco, CA and Michael Verdugo, of Wilton Manors, FL.
The family will receive friends at T. M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston 371 NW 136 Ave Sunrise , FL 33325 on Friday, May 27 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM. Floral tributes or floral memorials are welcome.
Interment will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172 on Saturday, May 28 at 10:15am.
