Elena Guzman Tamayo, known as Nena to her family in Colombia, had a remarkable life filled with achievements and experiences. She was born in Bogota in 1943 to parents Maria Elena and Julio Enrique. In her youth, she graduated high school, and won her hometown beauty pageant.  

To pursue the American Dream,  she moved to New Jersey with her cousin Alba in 1964. Elena got married to Francisco Rincon in Colombia in the same year. She later had two children, Claudia Janeth and Francisco Alberto. Her second marriage was to Fernando Campos in 1974. She had two more children, Elena Viviana and Fernando Enrique. She became a naturalized citizen of the USA in January 1976.

Elena pursued a career in cosmetology in the 80s and opened her own beauty salon called Elena's Hairstylers Unisex in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She also became a real estate agent and served as a public notary. In 1990, she moved into her custom built dream home in Plantation, that was her pride and treasure. Elena was actively involved with the Lions Club International, a non profit charity organization, and served as the president of the Hollywood Colombian Lions Club chapter.

Elena was also involved in her community, holding positions of Secretary and Treasurer for the homeowners association of Quatraine IV. Her dedication and involvement in various organizations highlight her commitment to making a positive impact on those around her.

Aside from her professional achievements, Elena was a loving and dedicated mother to her four children and a proud grandmother to her five beautiful grandchildren. She was known for her resourcefulness and hard work, always doing what was necessary to provide for her family.

Currently, Elena's surviving family members include her brother Ernesto Guzman and her children, Claudia Janeth Rincon, Francisco Alberto Rincon, Elena Viviana Campos, Fernando Enrique Campos. Elena's legacy lives on through her family, friends and the memories she created throughout her life.

Elena Guzmán Tamayo, conocida como Nena por su familia en Colombia, tuvo una vida extraordinaria llena de logros y experiencias. Nació en Bogotá en 1943 sus  padres María Elena y Julio Enrique. En su juventud, se graduó de la escuela secundaria y ganó el concurso de belleza de su ciudad natal.

Para perseguir el sueño americano, se mudó a Nueva Jersey con su prima Alba en 1964. Elena se casó con Francisco Rincón en Colombia ese mismo año. Posteriormente tuvo dos hijos, Claudia Janeth y Francisco Alberto. Su segundo matrimonio fue con Fernando Campos en 1974. Tuvo dos hijos más, Elena Viviana y Fernando Enrique. Se naturalizó como ciudadana Americana en enero de 1976.

Elena siguió una carrera en cosmetología en los años 80 y abrió su propio salón de belleza llamado Elena's Hairstylers Unisex en Pembroke Pines, Florida. También se convirtió en agente de bienes raíces y se desempeñó como notario público. En 1990, se mudó a la casa de sus sueños construida a su gusto en Plantation, la cual fue hasta el final su orgullo y tesoro. Elena participó activamente en el Lions Club International, una organización benéfica sin fines de lucro, y se desempeñó como presidenta del capítulo del Hollywood Colombian Lions Club.

Elena también estuvo involucrada en su comunidad, ocupando cargos de Secretaria y Tesorera de la asociación de propietarios de Quatraine IV. Su dedicación y participación en varias organizaciones resaltan su compromiso de generar un impacto positivo en quienes la rodean.

Además de sus logros profesionales, Elena fue una madre amorosa y dedicada a sus cuatro hijos y una orgullosa abuela de sus cinco hermosos nietos. Era conocida por su ingenio y arduo trabajo, siempre haciendo lo necesario para mantener a su familia.

Actualmente, los familiares sobrevivientes de Elena incluyen a su hermano Ernesto Guzmán y sus hijos, Claudia Janeth Rincón, Francisco Alberto Rincón, Elena Viviana Campos, Fernando Enrique Campos. El legado de Elena sigue vivo a través de su familia, sus amigos y los recuerdos que creó a lo largo de su vida.
