Edward C. Deas passed away peacefully on Thursday September 10 at the age of 95. Edward was born on August 3, 1931 in Queens, New York and spent most of his life living on Long Island before retiring to Florida in 1989.

After retiring from NYRA he continued working for another 25 years at Gulfstream Park until earlier this year.
Edward was an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force serving four years during the Korean War.
Edward was an avid golfer, extremely outgoing, and a sports enthusiast who loved watching football and golf with his family.
Edward was predeceased by his wife, Sandra, to whom he was married for over 60 years. He is survived by his daughters Doreen Casagrande and Jacklyn Deas, his four grandchildren, Adriana, Francis, Olivia and Nicholas, as well as his three great-grandchildren.
