Dolores B. Clawson

Dolores Bredel Clawson was born January 19, 1930 in McKeesport, PA to the late Alphonse and Margaret Lewis Bredel. She passed away peacefully in her sleep September 13, 2026 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Dolly is preceded in death by both parents, her sister Patricia Bredel Pendleton, and her husband John Clawson Jr. She is survived by three children—Gary, Jeff, and Gail—five grandchildren—Jessica, Jennifer, Amber, Rachael, and Christopher—and ten great-grandchildren.

Dolly had a deep love for literature and the arts, with a passion for fashion, drawing, music, and dancing. When she wasn’t creating or lost in a good book, she devoted her time to children, volunteering at the school library, chaperoning class trips, and involved with the PTA. She enjoyed walking and bike riding with her children.

Her constant presence, warmth, and involvement earned her a special place in the community as everyone’s mother—and later, everyone’s grandmother. Dolly will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband and parents at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, PA.
